Landslides, shooting stones, no signs of civilization, patchy roads and what not! 230km of bike ride from Leh to Turtuk was as exhausting and scary as it can be, which, lead me to a heavenly village called Turtuk. It is a piece of blissfulness amid the barren mountains of Ladakh. The locals were more beautiful than the landscape and the kids were like angels. The lush green farms against the deserted backdrop of mountains were like elixir to the eyes. ‘Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet’; to me, Aristotle never made more sense.
