Zoned out way above | – Poetry

Compared to this big universe
We are barely a speck of light
But can illuminate the earth
When we’re pulled into the night

If just one single person
Can spark us all to trust
Then imagine what can come
From seven billion of us

And if you ever think
That our efforts are a waste
Just remember that our work
Can be seen from outer space

And what we create on this earth
It won’t grow old or stale
And though we might appear small
We are never drawn to scale

Yes, we’ve seen our share of darkness
Maybe much more than we should
But we are still so capable
Of unimaginable good
