Airport | – Poetry
By: Preeti Vyas |

Faces, there were so many.

Those eyes awaiting,

Searching for someone in the crowd.

The displays changing after every couple of minutes,

New destinations as time pass by.

Trolleys dragged by those kids,

Amazed by those wheels and its motion.

People standing aside the pillars,

People roaming around in unrest,

People sitting in the lobby rooms,

People searching for cheap snacks.

And there is chaos,

There is happiness,

There are tears of joy,

Smiles of relief,

Laughter and tales,

Passionate kisses,

Warm embraces.

Waiting at the airport,

She flipped the page that she has just read.
